AVOXI joins CFCA

AVOXI joins Communications Fraud Control Association (CFCA)

AVOXI is excited to announce it has become a member of the Communication Fraud Control Association (CFCA). Fraud continues to be one of the top concerns for businesses but is especially an area of focus for telecoms.

A recent report from the CFCA shows that the global telecommunications industry grew 52% from 2005 to 2008. However, global fraud also grew 34% during the same period.

The CFCA has been a leader in the fight against communications-based fraud since its inception in the mid-1980s. One of CFCA’s goals is to promote a united effort against fraud inside and outside the communications industry. As a CFCA member, DOW is now affiliated with more than 300 professionals who are working toward achieving this goal.

Some of the benefits of CFCA membership include access to a wide range of support services including law enforcement liaisons, public awareness updates, various informational directories, fraud alerts and access to key security databases.

“DOW is happy to be a member of CFCA,” says Tim Bloomer, AVOXI Corporate Information Security Officer. “This membership is part of our continuing effort to remain pro-active with our security efforts.”
