Two-Way Local Caller ID & PSTN Replacement for Switzerland
Swiss recipients are more likely to answer calls from familiar local numbers than unfamiliar international caller IDs. TrueLocal gives every outbound call a Swiss caller ID that matches the inbound DID, so the same number works in both directions across +41.
AVOXI customers see up to 2x outbound answer rates after rolling out TrueLocal. Particularly useful for sales, customer success, and field operations teams calling Swiss customers from outside Switzerland.

Switzerland DID Number FAQ
Key Regulations for Voice Services in Switzerland
Swiss telecommunications services are regulated by the Federal Telecommunications Act (FMG/TCA) and overseen by two bodies: the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM/BAKOM) and the Federal Communications Commission (ComCom). Businesses using Swiss phone numbers should ensure their voice services comply with applicable numbering, emergency calling, and telecommunications requirements.
Key Compliance Requirements
- Notification and registration: Following the 2021 revision of the FMG, the general notification obligation for telecommunications service providers was abolished. Providers using nationally managed addressing resources (including Swiss phone numbers) or licensed radio frequencies must still be registered with OFCOM.
- Emergency call obligations: Under the FMG, providers offering publicly available voice services must enable users to reach Swiss emergency services, with routing and location identification handled in accordance with OFCOM technical requirements.
- Unfair advertising and cold calling: Under the Federal Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG), advertising calls to consumers whose number is not listed in the Swiss telephone directory, or who have marked their entry with a "star" (*) to refuse advertising, are prohibited without prior consent.
AVOXI & Swiss Regulatory Compliance
AVOXI provisions Swiss DIDs in accordance with OFCOM's addressing-resource rules and routes traffic in accordance with the FMG.
